Microchips - a good thing

This article points out the importance of microchips.  For Airborne Animals purposes, the microchip is the primary identification for most countries.  Originally though, microchips were developed to identify and reunite pets and their owners.  The key thing is that the microchip must be registered.  I can’t tell you how many dogs from shelters have a chip but it is not registered to anyone, making it useless for that purpose.
